Fort Myers leads the way for growth and with something to do for all ages there is no reason why. Fort Myers offers a wide range of activities for all to explore.
Ranking high on the list are the wonderful beaches that the Fort Myers area has to offer: Captiva and Sanibel Islands are truly a must see with the world renowned shelling. Enjoy the wonderful nature trail experience at Ding-Darling. During the winter months migrating birds flock to this area. Eat at the Greenflash for lunch then walk over to the beach down the streetthe crystal blue green waters and sugar white sand awaits you. Shelling in the winter months is truly an experience for all. Enjoy the shell museum this will help you identify all your treasures found!
North Captiva, Cayo Costa, GasparillaIsland: If getting away from it all these barrier islands is a great getaway or day trips. Only accessible by boat allows for the private space you may be graving to soak up the sun, experience nature, or shelling that many do not get to see etc. There are several tour groups that you can arrange to take you to these islands or rent a boat and sail away for the day!
Ft.MyersBeach a great vacation spot! The Town Square near the pier offers restaurants, water holes, and shopping. This is a great spot to people watch and enjoy a lovely outside dining. My favorite spot is the Greek Restaurant for the Chicken Souvlaka Dinner Plate. Traveling down the strip towards Estero Blvd. has many public beach access points nestled within the condos and residential homes. Enjoy the beautiful, wide white sandy beaches that are some of the best in all of Florida or the United States.
Lover's Key is a state park that allows you to escape from the everyday routine. Enjoy the white sandy beaches and the eco-tourism in this area. The park offers kayaking and canoes to rent along with nature trails to walk. This is truly a must for nature enthusiasts.
